On a recent trip to the United States, I stopped by Sephora as any warm blooded beauty blogger would naturally do.
One of the purchases I was most intrigued over was an eyeshadow palette by makeup artist Nastasha Denona, who at this point was completely new to me as it was just before her products went completely berserk here in the UK.
She had a range of (very expensive!) yet beautiful looking, richly pigmented palettes. After much swatching, I chose the eyeshadow palette 5, in 02.
Comprising of 4 cool toned shimmers and one matte eyeshadow, this palette could not be more versatile despite two pairs of similar toned shades.
My favourite shade is lavender gray, which is a shimmery mink colour with a slight, incredibly subtle purple undertone.
The pigment payoff is incredibly rich, and all of the shades blend together beautifully.
At £41 for 5 shades it’s not the most affordable eyeshadow palette out there. But, if I’ve learned anything from having a beauty blog since 2012 it’s that you get what you pay for. Sure, you could buy a similar Urban Decay Naked Palette and get more than double the shades, but can you honestly say you’d wear them everyday like you can so easily with the Natasha Denona 02 palette?
Perfect for paler skin tones, for me this palette is an absolute win.
