Nyx Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation

It’s not often a high street store brings out an affordable foundation with an incredible 45 shades to choose from. This is exactly what NYX brought to us recently, in the form of their Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation which I picked up in their lightest shade – pale.

This product costs £15 which is at the top end of a typical ‘drugstore’ foundation, however still half the price of a typical high end product. So, NYX have created a product which is affordable and attainable for women of all skin tones.

I swatched the colours on my arm in order they are displayed below, starting with NYX white foundation mixer up to the darkest shade, which was the YSL touche Eclat foundation in the shade BR10.

On first glance, this foundation seemed promising colour wise, however when applied to my face and blended out the colour turned quite sheer, and oddly for me…. too pale!

As you can see, when simply swatched on my arm the NYX foundation was the 3rd lightest next to the Illamasqua Skin base shade 02, and the NYX pure white foundation mixer.

I found when the product was applied to my face, the colour was alot lighter than anticipated, which meant I looked a little ill and my scars remained uncovered. I was also slightly disappointed with how thin the consistency is.

If you want to try this product, please swatch carefully on your face and neck before buying, as the shades are deceptively light.

This wasn’t one for me, however its still had an incredible reception from beauty bloggers across the internet.
